Training Our Workforce

We are proud to partner with Flow Learning, the world’s leading hospitality training platform, to deliver high-quality, consistent, and engaging training to our entire workforce. As part of our commitment to excellence and compliance within the industry, all new team members are enrolled in a comprehensive initial training programme through this platform.

This onboarding process includes a series of essential modules designed to equip staff with the knowledge and confidence they need to perform their roles effectively and safely. Specifically, our team members are required to complete the following key certifications:

  • Level 2 Food Safety – covering best practices in food safety and hygiene standards

  • Health and Safety Level 2 - providing a solid understanding of workplace safety—covering risk assessment, accident prevention, and legal responsibilities.

  • Food Allergens – focused on allergen awareness, legal responsibilities, and guest safety

These interactive, online modules are designed to be engaging and accessible. Each course includes practical scenarios and informative content, followed by short quizzes to reinforce learning. Upon successful completion, participants are awarded an official certificate, confirming they have met the required standard.

In school settings, this training takes on even greater significance. Children are particularly vulnerable to foodborne illnesses and allergic reactions, making it essential that all catering staff are thoroughly trained in safe food handling and allergen management. Our commitment to rigorous training helps ensure that school meals are not only nutritious and delicious, but also safe for every child—giving parents, staff, and students peace of mind.

Proudly Delivering the Highest Standards of compliance

We deliver the highest standards of compliance in our industry, which is why we are entrusted to provide staffing solutions to many schools, colleges, and universities across the UK.

As part of our watertight compliance process, we complete our right-to-work checks with TrustID, a UK government-approved identity service provider (IDSP). Through their digital platform, within minutes, they can:

  • Quickly and securely assess and confirm the authenticity of identity documents

  • Check against a national fraud database to verify the identity is not known to be stolen or false

  • Provide a full status report, including any work restrictions

To further enhance our compliance, our Head of Payroll and Compliance, Ginny Verdon, a member of The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) authorises all new hires in line with the rigid processes established by our ISO 9001 management system. These checks take place not only considering all legalities but also taking into account an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all our client SLAs, therefore ensuring contractual compliance.
