Did you know that our very first client in the history of Arc was Liverpool Football Club back in 2008, and sixteen years later, we now work with over 50% of Premier League Football Clubs? This means from August right through to May every year, we provide thousands of shifts for our team members across England.
Whether they’re die-hard football fans or don’t know their midfielders from their left backs, our team lives for our football stadium shifts. The electric atmosphere that builds the second fans walk into the stadium, the camaraderie from colleagues, some of whom have worked together for years at the club, returning for each season at the request of our clients. Our team becomes a core part of the fan’s experience, especially for the season ticket holders that get to know the people who work there.
It takes an immense workforce to bring a Premier League football game to life with thousands of matchday staff on-hand to serve the thousands of fans in attendance. Although our roles vary based on the club and their individual requirements, most of the roles that we provide include:
Each member of our VIP Hospitality team has been hand-selected and authorised to become part of this elite team following a bespoke and intensive training programme. They work in some of the most exclusive hospitality areas where attention to detail and outstanding service are paramount.
In Great Britain and Ireland, there are 206 Michelin starred restaurants, a type of award for restaurants that offer exceptional high standards of cooking are synonymous with fine dining. It’s the artistry and talent from the Chef that will earn the restaurant the award; however, the front of house team plays a significant role, for those who choose to dine in these establishments are in search of a memorable dining experience.
The experience that our VIP Hospitality team will gain working in fine dining restaurants will significantly enhance their career prospects for those looking to go into the luxury side of the hospitality industry. In the Premier League Football stadiums, our team serves an array of esteemed guests, including celebrities and families and friends of the team. This exposure provides them with an understanding of the importance of a highly personalised service, the utmost discretion, and exceptional standards of professionalism.
Our most loyal and hard-working team members are invited to partake in a VIP Hospitality assessment session by our operations team. If this is something that you’re interested in, you can always let our team know that you’d be looking at becoming part of this exclusive team at some point during your Arc journey!
As they say, when one door closes, another door opens, and never more so in the world of event staffing operations; as the football season comes to an end, the festival season takes off with a bang.
Our team members love nothing more than working at festivals; perhaps it’s the friends that they make whilst working on the bar, the amazing background music that they can listen to whilst serving customers, such as Craig David at Dreamland, Margate, or Shania Twain at Lytham Festival, or the fact that many of our camping festivals allow our team to explore the site post-shift!
We have a dedicated festival team that works around the clock throughout the summer (and in winter, too!) to deliver amazing staff to some of the biggest music festivals in the UK, including Creamfields, Victorious Festival, and Tramlines. This August was our biggest month ever at Arc, as we celebrated a record-breaking 4,200 team members working at festivals and events across the UK.
Did you know that we’re on a bold mission to reduce waste and champion sustainability at all of the camping festivals? Our Leave No Trace campaign forms part of our Impact Strategy and focusses on taking positive climate action within our camping festivals that we staff each year. As part of our commitment to Leave No Trace, we offer the role of Sustainability Champion within our camping festivals.
These team members go through a selection process whereby we identify people who are passionate about sustainability. They are then given an induction about how we can best leave no trace. In return, we pay them a higher rate for encouraging green practices on site.
On the last day, our sustainability champions will work with the rest of the team to ensure the fields we camp in are completely clear when we leave and also that any equipment left behind (e.g. tents) is recycled or donated to charity.
In the festival market, 56% of festival goers caring more about the environmental impact than they ever did and with UK festivals producing 23,500 tonnes of waste each year, organisers are under increasing pressure to incorporate sustainable practices at their event. However, it’s not just festivals that are looking to become more environmentally-friendly businesses, in fact, 75% of leaders said that they had increased their investment in sustainability within the pasty year.
With a 116% increase in sustainability-related job openings between 2019 and 2024, there has never been a better time to follow a career in sustainability. You could implement real change within businesses, working on projects such as carbon reduction plans, impact strategies and even local community initiatives.
As one of the leading temporary staffing suppliers in the country, we work at some of the world’s most exciting events, supporting stadiums, arenas, and event spaces with a team of incredible staff. This year, we have supported venues hosting Taylor Swift’s iconic Era’s Tour, the 152nd Open at Royal Troon, and the FA Cup Final, just to name a few.
There is nothing like the excitement of working at an event where everyone there shares the same passion and excitement. Whether it’s a concert, an exhibition, or a top-secret fashion show, our team members are a core part of what brings the experience to life for the guests in attendance.
Our Chefs, including Head Chefs, Sous Chefs, Chef de Parties, and Commis Chefs, are tasked with working in the kitchens of the world’s most famed venues, catering for upwards of 500 people per event. Being a Chef is not for the fainthearted; it’s a tough job that requires a lot of patience, creativity, and stamina.
